Team Challenge

Reflection:
We started off by creating the Eiffel Tower. This exercise took us the longest to create. It involved a lot of teamwork and trust. For this activity we had to start creating the bottom of the tower using our bodies and also using our minds as we had to create a decent image of the structure. It took a while as some teammates took a while to fit in to the area and finish off the shape. Overall for this activity we had worked in a decent way to accomplish our finished work.
It also took a while to create the bridge as we did not how to create a bridge including everyone in our team. We struggled to stay put and stand balanced for a while until we got the job done. All we had to do to accomplish this was to trust each other and hope that everyone in the group sticks and follows the plan in an accurate way.
For many of the activities we had to think outside the box as a team. The selfies were the easiest part as we only had to sit down or stand up to to create a specific image completing the activity list.
The most enjoyable part was creating the ugly faces as we got to laugh as friends and had fun as a group. We also enjoyed making a "perfect circle" as we thought in a unique way by creating the circle  with each of our feet forming a solid shape.
In conclusion I think that collaborate in these groups expresses all our special ways of working in a group and communicating our ideas in an open-minded way. I hope to play more of these entertaining games in random groups so I could get to know the group well and collaborate with different personalities.  It got us into working in groups again and learning from each other. What a great way to start the drama year.

Little Sister Audition:

House Challenge:

Marking the Moment:

In the photo it is shown that a pair of 2 girls are fighting for a bottle of soda. The rest of the people were trying to grab the drink for themselves because all of them were looking for it at the beginning of this whole build up of conflict. The story was when a room mate was trusted until the group found out that she was the one hiding and drinking all the sodas without telling the rest of the characters as a group.
This particular scene was chosen for the 'mark the moment' because it was the moment everyone in the photo realized who had been stealing all their drinks for long days without any of them knowing. In my opinion the characters who were most convincing were the girls as they were the main characters in the scene and that they building up the conflict in a rapid way. Another character who felt well with the conflict was Shantel (Khanda) as she used rough abusive words towards each character going the audience no clue on who hid the drinks since the beginning.
In my opinion Yahya's group build up tension the best as all the characters blended in well with the environment and conflict idea. Yahya in particular as he was not only acting in confident but also because he used a comfortable accent for his character. This group did the best according to my opinion because of the way they worked together.

Reality TV Debate:

1) Do you think reality TV is more 'entertaining' than dramas or documentaries? Why/why not?
In fact I think that reality TV is more interesting as it demonstrates the daily life of people in their form of being in a group with people they do not know. Dramas are acted and planned out by actors when on the other hand the contestants applying for this reality TV show aren't acted out but the actors live a normal life with some other contestants living with them. It is usually interesting as conflict is always building up throughout different episodes of the series. Reality TV also involves different challenges which is pretty interesting as well because of the team challenges and conflicts within the working of groups within these challenges.

2) What moral or ethical problems might there be with a programme like Big Brother that is filming its contestants 24 hours a day? Explain.
These reality TV shows show us the conflicts that could occur within small amounts of time when only knowing each other for days or even just hours. This shows us that it is really hard to keep up with other people as you have to always keep calm and always trust each other even though you have hate and many differences. The particular knowledge of the contestants towards their roommates usually lead to relationships between them. Relationships also have a probability of breaking as conflicts occur not only with one person but with the whole group of house/room mates. Conflicts also have a probability o kicking the contestants out either if there is violence or really harsh and false language spoken to one another.

3) What reasons do you think some contestants might have for quitting a reality TV program?
There would be many reasons for contestants being kicked out. One of them would be violence. This is a big problem which usually occurs if a conflict or a misunderstanding occurs between different people around their house. This does not only occur with boys but also occurs with girls as the girls get into a fight for some particular reason involving themselves or others and attack each other physically. The second reason would be false language. This is allowed in the house but it is not if it occurs in a false manner. For example if someone attacks someone else verbally and then the other person replies in a similar way, this would keep on building up and building tension until someone goes way over the top and spills out the meaningless words trying to offend him/her.

4) How 'real' is the action or coverage that we see in reality TV programs? Explain.
In my opinion I think that the action is a bit of each. It is part of 'real' since the contestants are filmed for long hours and throughout these hours they act as a family by working together and living a normal life but the conflicts and relationships make the shows a bit more fake as viewers would not believe all situations depending on the way the conflict begins. Also the way they act influences the way the viewers think for example, a group of people plan to do something and the others act as they don't know. I think that the contestants who act as they don't know actually know every single bit of the plan. This shows that only some parts of the show can be trusted and other parts cannot be trusted.

Voted Off

As a group of friends working to earn 12 million dirhams we must eventually vote someone out. This is what we had today. Every group member was given a sheet of paper to write who they were going to kick out. As soon as I was given a paper I was nervous as I didn't know how the specific person I picked would react to my particular choice. When I held the pen, I was shivering as I was about to write the members name. I knew that the person I would pick would also be picked by a few other of my group members as all of us thought that he/she should have been kicked out because of the actions taken by this specific member towards us as a whole group.
I then picked up the pen and wrote 'Dan' in big to show how much I wanted him out of the house. After writing his name I felt nervous as people might have picked me for any reason. My house members were staring at me filled with nervousness. As we were called up one by one I handed my paper and took a seat in the semi circle. All of us sat apprehensively looking scared of what could happen in a couple of moments.
I sat down closing my eyes as the host called out the name on the first piece of paper. Unfortunately it was my best friend, Brad, who was called and as soon as I heard his name getting called out I knew who had written his name as she was annoyed at all times by the way he acts and her name is 'Shantell'. I was still not looking forward to the next name though as it was a 1/5 chance my name could have been called out. The host then read out the second name and fortunately it was Shantell. My heart then started pounding faster as the chances of me getting voted out could also happen. The following ones were all Dan so that was good news but at the same time I felt bad for him as he was trying his best  all the time to win the millions of dirhams. The main reason I chose him out though was because he was such a wannabe of a random Australian dude with a horrific accent. He also let Brad and I down when he ditched us for the girl alliance and was working with the girls to get Brad and I voted out of the house 1 by 1.

Best Bits

As a group we have decided on bringing, gym clothes, weights, fancy clothes, a dress, a tiara, a ring, a coat, a soda bottle, and a hat. The following objects would be used to support the video in describing the looks and ideas/effort given into the production of the video.
The gym clothes and weights would be used by Nazih and I as we were both in the gym working out for a couple of times in our acts a well as it relates to our personalities. Nazih and I were spending time in the gym while Azaan was having a conversation with the girls in the living room. The hat would be with me as I like the specific style and I am supposed to be a texan kind of guy so that would help in describing my character.
The fancy clothes and tiara are for Khanda as her character is quite sassy and self centered. The clothing and looks would help her personality in being shown throughout the filming. The tiara would help in expressing her feelings about herself.
The dress would be for Samia as she loves clothes and is always trying on different styles just to get the attention of Azaan's character (Dan). The dress would also help in showing that she has unique tastes as well as looks based on clothing.
The ring is for Azaan's character as he is married but it is found out that he was caught trying to cheat on his wife with Samia's character. This would bring a good scene for the best bits video. He would also have a coat making him stand out and give him a good look of an Australian wannabe acting as if it is cold all the time.
The soda bottle would be used as a main item for the conflict scene and it would help in improving the realty in our acting as a whole.

What Happened?

Disturbance Scene 1: War
War has hit Dubai, Schools destroyed, Building demolished. Every tree is burnt to ash. Foggy skies and lots of bombs exploding refugees' ears. Every poor person running out of a specific building or screaming in terror. Sun rays causing defenders to retreat. Smoke rises from every building causing pollution and terror to every betrayed citizen running away. Screams from every corner. In one specific school, EISM, all children were terrorized and forced to leave or else death was upon them.  At 1pm, as children were about to move to their next classes, soldiers raided into their classroom causing chaos all over the place. Two children named Adam and Yousief had started panicking and offered help to every other student in the classroom in order to run away as fast as possible. Chairs and tables tipped over with all stationery poured all over the smooth floors. Adam had a lot of potential in escaping as he always was a sneaky guy. But on the other hand yousief was big and always there to help those in need. When soldiers started ramming in, every person did not know what was going on. Apparently they were looking for something....

Disturbance Scene 2: Zombie apocalypse (infection)
An infection has hit the middle east. The infection caused humans into becoming a weird creature who would start transferring the disease over and over till every single individual becomes one of their kind. All cities burnt, every person terrorized. All that was left was 5% of the worlds population. Children attacking other kids just for their blood and body. Blood was splattered everywhere. Houses abandoned. Zombies strolling across the streets. Every living person was for himself. The only defenses people had were the weapons laid out on the streets from the infected cops and citizens. Roads were quiet. There were foggy skies and silent cities. Every village and town were infected. But it all started at a school where an allergic boy named Jake had eaten something which was never meant to be for him. When he was born, he had a rare disease called infectopohotus. This was when if someone had eaten an insect he/she would turn into a flesh eating zombie who always liked to gather more friends. Jake was 17 years old. His mom packed him a delicious tuna sandwich. The weather outside was terrible, so every student had to eat inside their classes since the cafeteria was under maintenance. When the lunch bell rang, Jake picked up his lunch package and ate his snack as a starter. He eventually took a bite off his sandwich and realized that he forgot to wash his hands so he accidentally left his open tuna sandwich on the table. While Jake was washing his hands, a weird like bug crawled up into his sandwich. He returned and took a bite off of it. He finished off the sandwich and went back to his locker in order to get ready for class. When he arrived for his next lesson, he sat down and started to wonder why his stomach started to hurt. Eventually he started to get dizzy and feel unconscious. He fainted during his lesson. He started to produce weird noises and have some dark blood coming out of his mouth. Students gasped. He stood up weirdly and started walking towards his teacher with dark marks around his eyes. The teacher backed off as he suddenly jumped off attacking her. The teacher lay down attacked with a bite mark around her neck. Jake stood with his back facing the students. They were screaming trying to exit the class. But before anyone else moved he started ramming towards them with speed, crashing into all tables and chairs and causing a big chaos with every child having turned into a zombie. The infection took over the school and is still infecting the world starting off with the middle east. This was the start to all chaos around the globe...

The letter:

Dear Father of Admira,

All the conflict between us has lead to nothing but a loss of our loved ones. I think that the only reason to fix this is to commemorate their love by burying them on the border of our races. I am very sorry about the tragedy and I really hope you can accept my thoughts. We should lay both their bodies right next to each other. I really hope that after all this, our races can work together to form a proper nation and share all our cultures in order to have happy citizens. All this should end after this tragedy. Their bodies will sign the power of love and the equality to all cultures and races.

Best regards,

Bosko’s Mother

 PSA Domestic Abuse

PrePlanning

      - A woman is handed a few 'bucks' (dirhams) by her husband, as part of her monthly allowance.
- On a Sunday, when her husband has gone out for work, she takes her life savings, collected from her monthly allowance.
- She calls her friend, telling her she wants a tattoo. The friend readily agrees, and soon enough, they both walk down the street, approaching the tattoo shop.

- She requests the tattoo artist to finish off her 'natural tattoo (her scars)', by painting a prison cell, with a heartbroken heart down inside the prison cell.
- This goes along with the caption 'Abuse is a prison; let me out of my cell' under the
- But when Erin gets the tattoo, she feels no pain, for she is so numb to it, due to years of endured domestic violence, which had damaged her response to emotional, mental, and physical pain.
- After the tattoo is done, Erin is asked to pay and gives all she has for the tattoo.
- She departs her way home and locks herself in her room, where she begins cutting herself (suicide indication; the next step after numbing of emotion, mental and physical pain), as a tear rolls down her cheek.

Post Reflection:

Thursday, the fifteenth of March had turned out to be a somewhat nerve-destroying day for us, as we were to display our Domestic Abuse PSA's, which we had been working for over the traverse of 2-3 weeks. Given the way that we were given this long of a period to chip away at these PSA's, it was truly clear that they'd be of particular quality; something I'm certain future conceivable, had my gathering endeavored to put more activity with the arranging, thoughts, recording, props, and pre-arranging. By the by, we completed the process of taping only two or three days before the PSA was expected (Monday, to be correct), and after a considerable amount of delaying, I had completed the altering on Wednesday night; which we transferred Thursday morning on our websites (as observed previously). Truly, we were fortunate to have the 'benefit' to utilize the school's 'working' Wi-Fi (a generally unprecedented circumstance) to transfer our video, or else we'd have no real way to introduce.

At any rate, out of the 3 recordings we watched, one that truly emerged was Samim's gatherings' (Samim himself, Heidi, Adam Houssami, Nazih, and Samia) video. As Samim is known for his uncommon altering, in contrast with our video, his altering was on point. In spite of the fact that the 20-second presentation was not required (as it looked more like a film organization initial motion picture shot) all through their video, the Music was very much shown amid perfect circumstances, thusly making the expected strain, and enthusiastic effect. Also, the volume levels were somewhat off now and again (particularly when Samia talked; she was (and typically is) too uproarious), however for the most part sufficiently clear for us, the group of onlookers to hear.

Howbeit, the acting was only a score above fair, an extremely should have been dealt with, for one could see that amid lion's share of the video, the acting didn't show enough feeling, as the performers weren't not kidding enough, or didn't get themselves into the profundity of their character as they ought to have. A few performing artists, as Samim, Nazih and Adam Houssami didn't have much screen time, other than a couple of moments of them in character. Discussing which, Adam Houssami, was most likely the main great performer, as he had shown feelings of outrage and prevalence when 'tormenting' Nazih well, because of getting into his character, and communicating his feelings like his character would have. Also, at the end the video, the interest of the message was somewhat effective, because of develop from what had happened. The development was just about flawless; had it been longer, the message wouldn't be as impactful, for more often than not the shorter the story-line, the more powerful the message to be conveyed (however there are exemptions).

While our acting was somewhat surged toward the week prior to the PSA was expected, as we didn't have much time previously, because of this time of the term being heck,. Every person of our gathering (myself included) had their own qualities and shortcomings. For instance, Hamza, Sabine, and Erin had poor vocal tone and pitch; along these lines making their voices repetitive, exhausting and not sufficiently noisy for the gathering of people to hear. However, in the meantime, these 3 had incredible expressive acting abilities (as far as outward appearances and body development). In correlation, Yahya and I had remained well in character, however, I could chip away at my body developments and not having my back face the camera/group of onlookers, while I could enhance the usage of facial, body and vocal appearance. More or less: our acting was basically average. Furthermore, last however surely not slightest, when it descended to our PSA message, the message itself, alongside the saintly music was an awesome difference. In any case, as our PSA was around 1 minute 40 secs. without the message, alongside our normal acting, the local manhandle message that was endeavored to being adequately passed on had lamentably declined in its enthusiastic effect toward the group of onlookers. Consequently, quickness, conciseness are two principal viewpoints, that my gathering and I might work upon, sooner rather than later.
